Job Description 

Position Title: Webfocus Developer 

Position Level  Webfocus Developer (SME/Technical Consultant)

Work Location  Chennai 

Summary 

The VGKBC is currently hiring Webfocus developers to support global Corporate Reporting solution.  The developer will be a member of the Business Intelligence team and is responsible design and build reports based on customer requirements. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with global project teams to create reporting requirements across new strategic initiatives and legacy applications
• Understand business requirements and transform the need into a technical solution
• Understand the data definitions, hierarchies, and data dependencies used across various systems
• Participate in weekly team meetings; present status, issues and risks associated to assigned project deliverables
• Provide support to other team members locally and within various business units across Visteon

 

Required Skills & Experiences 

• 8+ years of professional work experience as a developer with IWAY/Webfocus Tools, working across multiple projects to deliver on time solutions based on customer deliverables
• 5+ years with experience performing related development across reporting / data warehouse activities.
• Webfocus report development tools (Dev Studio, creating dashboards, MRE, JAVA script, HTML)
• Webfocus development against SAP, QAD/MFG Pro, Oracle, DB2, IMS Mainframe databases
• Leverage experience or industry best practices to create process or long term strategy
• Present findings, recommendations and results to management
• Strong conceptual, relation and dimensional data modeling and data base design skills. 
• This person must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with OLAP - based reporting, query and analysis, and data visualization (dashboard) applications.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related field
