Job Description 
 

Position Level  Webfocus Sys Admin Developer

Work Location  Chennai 

Summary 

The VGKBC is currently hiring a Webfocus system administrator to support Corporate Reporting solution.  The system admin will be a member of the Business Intelligence team and is responsible to migrate code, monitor servers, support connections, upgrades, software installs, user access based on customer requirements. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Migrate development team code from development to QA and QA to Production servers
• Monitor space and performance across Development , QA and Production servers
• Create and support 200+ system connections across Development , QA and Production servers
• Support any backups and/or upgrades, software installs
• Monitor and approve user access requests
• Participate in weekly team meetings; present status, issues and risks associated to assigned project deliverables
• Provide support to other team members locally and within various business units across Visteon

 

Required Skills & Experiences 

• 2+ years of professional work experience as a Webfocus system administrator on a UNIX platform
• Capable of communicating with developers and aligning tasks to enable successful deployment of new strategic initiatives.
• Leverage experience or industry best practices to create process or long term strategy
• Present findings, recommendations and results to management
• Strong conceptual, relation and dimensional data modeling and data base design skills. 
• This person must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related field
